Teatro per Caso
In 1996, during a trip to the Parmenese theatre festival with a few members, was born the idea of founding a theatre company. A few days later Teatro per Caso came into being. Its members grow and strengthen with cultural meetings, that is often the result of a deeper subconscious search, which reveals a dimension of life inevitably linked to the world of theatre. Teatro per Caso today is a dynamic company with a solid unity.
The case (Caso), is seen as a source of inspiration and wealth, of openness and opportunity, flexibility and channelization into articulated objectives. Over time, the company marks itself by its "ongoing nature" through experiences of training, creating and performing. People who form the company are actors, playwrights, directors, visual artists and musicians coming from national and international backgrounds. Some of its members have worked as stilt-walkers at the Arena di Verona in the opera "La Boheme" by Giacomo Puccini, directed by Arnoud Bernard.
The activities of the company develop in many directions: from the production of events and shows for children and adults to street performances; from teaching to carrying out special site-specific mutli-media projects. Teatro per Caso has active participation in prestigious national children’s theatre festivals and international festivals like the Festival of Florianópolis and the Festival of Lugano.
In the field of theatre for adults, the company encourages creative individual passions to emerge through street theatre, poetry, music, visual and pictorial elements, memoires and testimonials. All these are developed and closely related to historical, cultural and social characteristics of mental and physical planes.
In children’s theatre Teatro per Caso has designed acts and workshops for schools. "Giullarate” and “Giocoincanto al Castello” are theme-based acts where medieval characters interact with children through games and storytelling in the castles of Arco and Drena, in the province of Trento. “Teatro a Gonfie Vele" is a children’s theatre festival that the company has been organizing for the city of Nago Torbole (TN) since 2004.
From these and other experiences was born in 2006 the project of international solidarity "Laboratory of Smiles" aimed to work with street children in India. In 2007 Teatro per Caso conducted a theatrical tour in Bombay, Pune and Goa with the show "Fantasia", which involved twenty-five girls and boys from the El-Shaddai Street Child Rescue Shelter of Goa.
